Beginning the Dialog:

I love sex! There you have it, now everyone knows.  I obviously don’t talk about sex in every conversation but I have never been one to shy away from discussing openly and honestly this very private area of my married life. You may be asking yourself “Why would you ever talk about sex?” or “What qualifies you to talk about it?” and the simple answer was stated in the first sentence of this post.  I am not an expert. I don’t have a degree in medicine or psychology. I am not a family and marriage counselor or a sex therapist. I am just a woman who loves sex. I have experienced a great amount of freedom, enjoyment and satisfaction in my marriage in the area of intimacy and I know from conversations with many other women, that is a very desirable  trait in life. I simply want to share my perspective and experiences in hopes that others can learn from it. And it’s my desire that this be an open place for growing stronger marriages.

I am a pastor.  There, now you know.  But this blog isn’t necessarily about my experience as a pastor.  It’s about relationships.  And outside my relationship with God, my relationship with Megan is the most important part of my life.  So important that I openly discuss it with others regularly.

In fact, just a couple of weeks ago I was discussing the subject of marriage with a friend.  I couldn’t tell you how the conversation started, nor could I tell you how we began to discuss sex (it just seems to come naturally to me, I suppose).  As the discussion continued my friend said, “You must be a real tiger in bed.”  Our conversation was simple. No details were given. Yet he somehow knew my marriage and sex life must be great if I was so open to discussing it.

This blog is simply an extension of how I already converse with others about marriage and sex.  And it’s my sincere hope this is just the beginning of a long conversation with you.

We have many thoughts for future posts.  However, if you have any specific questions you’d like to see answered in a future post, feel free to let us know in the comments below, or in an anonymous email.  We’d love to hear from you!
